Laparoscopic & Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr Gailani is a Gynaecologist at the Equinox Centre in Deakin. The Gynaecology Centre provides multidisciplinary services along with physiotherapists and dedicated nursing staff for patients with gynaecological and pelvic dysfunction disorders.
The centre offers investigations for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse disorders, including urodynamic testing and outpatient cystoscopy.
Dr Gailani provides a variety of management options for urinary incontinence symptoms including medications, tibial nerve stimulation (Urgent PC) and outpatient Botox bladder procedures.
Dr Gailani offers MonaLisa Touch (Vaginal Atrophy) treatment for women who are experiencing symptoms such as vaginal itching & burning, vaginal dryness, loss of lubrication, vaginal laxity, incontinence symptoms and painful sexual intercourse.
He also offers iAluRil treatment (bladder GAG layer therapy) for painful bladder conditions and recurrent urinary tract infections.
Dr Gailani runs regular virginal pessary clinics to offer patients conservative management options for pelvic floor prolapse.
He also offers surgical options for management of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, including non-mesh solutions procedures of urinary incontinence with urethral bulking agents and as well as virginal/laparoscopic procedures.
Dr Gailani is a member of the International Continence Society (ICS), International Urogynecology Association (IUGA) and holds a certificate in urodynamics from the Bristol Urological Institute. This certificate is recognised by the International Incontinence Society (ICS). Dr Gailani has been both locally and international trained to improve patients’ outcomes in pelvic floor repair.
He has been regularly updating his skills in locations across Australia, Europe and the USA for training and hands on targeted workshops run by internationally renowned surgeons.
Dr Gailani strives to provide minimal invasive surgery for a variety of Gynaecology conditions including painful, heavy periods , endometriosis and fibroids.
He provides both hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures to manage those conditions, including NovaSure, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopic resection of fibroids laparoscopic myomectomy and laparoscopy hysterectomy. Dr Gailani also offers outpatients hysteroscopies from his rooms.
Dr Gailani is committed to providing quality care to his patients and he operates regularly at the Calvary John James Hospital in Deakin ACT.
